Need help with new high-definition television and satellite services?
My parents just bought a HDTV for the bedroom after not having a TV in it for years. (My father is having surgery and be in bed for a long time, therefore need for TV). Currently have satellite television in the living room, and when installed, the cable outlet bedroom was connected to the screen what was satellite in the living room. There is a second satellite receiver in the bedroom which is separate from the living room receiver. I have been able to connect your VCR / DVD player TV and it works fine, but have not been able to figure out why I can not get the image of the room that is connected to the cable room does not work by connecting a coaxial output to the TV, I have not been able to pick up HD local channels when doing a channel scan (the spec sheet says it is a ATSC and QAM tuner to be able to find HD channels). HELP! Or I'll be forced to watch NASCAR for the next week while I am with them!
Is difficult to give a perfect answer without knowing how original cable running to the room was connected to the satellite box. There is really only practical way: coaxial cable of the auxiliary output jack in the box RF (such as an antenna jack) through the walls of the wall plate in the bedroom.
